Upload your CSV question bank, survey export, or structured questionnaire data. Pirai AI parses the rows and columns, then choose: one-click export to Google Forms via OAuth, or download an Apps Script. No add-on. No question limits.
Input formats
CSV is the universal data exchange format. Upload your CSV question bank, survey platform export, or custom-formatted questionnaire data. Other formats are also supported.
How it works
Both methods start with the same CSV upload. Your preference determines how the Google Form is delivered.
Sign in with Google. Pirai AI creates the form directly in your Drive and returns an edit link. No pasting, no running code.
Download a .txt script file. Paste it into the built-in Google Forms editor and run it. No Google sign-in with Pirai AI required.
Both methods produce the same Google Form with all questions and answer options from your CSV data.
Go to platform.piraiai.com. Upload your CSV file with questions and answer options. Select Google Forms as the output.
Click Export to Google Forms. Sign in with Google if prompted.
Google shows a permission screen. Pirai AI requests drive.file scope (creates new forms only — no access to existing Drive files) and forms.body scope (adds questions to the form). You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.
Pirai AI creates the form in your Google Drive and returns a direct edit link. All questions from your CSV are in place.
Go to platform.piraiai.com. Upload your CSV file. Select Google Forms and choose Download Apps Script.
Open a blank Google Form at forms.google.com. Click the three-dot menu in the top right. Select Apps Script. Delete the default placeholder code. Paste your Pirai AI script.
Click Save (floppy disk icon). Click Run. Google shows a one-time permissions prompt : click Review permissions > Allow. The script runs and builds all your questions automatically.

Pirai AI offers two methods. One-click: upload your CSV at platform.piraiai.com, select Google Forms, click Export to Google Forms, sign in with Google, grant scoped permission — your form is created directly in your Drive. Apps Script: upload your CSV, download the .txt script, open a blank Google Form, paste into the Apps Script editor, Save then Run.
One-click export uses Google OAuth — Pirai AI creates the form directly in your Drive using scoped drive.file and forms.body permissions. Apps Script generates a .txt file you paste into the Google Forms editor and run yourself — no Drive permissions are granted to Pirai AI. Both produce an identical Google Form from your CSV data.
Pirai AI reads most CSV layouts. For best results, use one row per question with the question text in the first column and answer options in subsequent columns. You can also put answer options in a single cell separated by semicolons. A header row helps (e.g., "Question", "Option A", "Option B", "Type") but is not strictly required. Pirai AI auto-detects commas, semicolons, and tabs as delimiters.
Yes. If you have exported questions or survey data from another platform as a CSV file, Pirai AI can parse the structure and convert it to Google Forms. This works with REDCap data dictionary exports, LMS question bank exports, custom database exports, and any other CSV-formatted question data.
No. Neither method requires a Marketplace installation. The one-click method uses Google OAuth to create the form in your Drive directly. The Apps Script method uses Google's built-in Apps Script editor accessible from the three-dot menu in any Google Form — no Drive permissions are granted to Pirai AI.
Both work equally well with Pirai AI. CSV files are plain text with delimited values, while Excel (.xlsx) files can contain formatting, multiple sheets, and formulas. If your data is already in CSV format, upload it directly. If it is in Excel, you can upload the .xlsx file or save it as CSV first. The conversion output is the same either way.
Yes. Pirai AI gives you 1-2 free credits every day that reset daily. Each CSV to Google Forms conversion uses one credit. Credit packs: 5 credits for $2.99, 15 credits for $6.99, 30 credits for $9.99. Credits never expire.
Upload your CSV. One-click export or Apps Script — your choice. Done in minutes.
Convert CSV to Google Forms FreePirai AI CSV to Google Forms Converter converts CSV files to Google Forms via two methods: one-click OAuth export and Apps Script download. One-click: uses Google OAuth with drive.file scope (creates new forms only, no access to existing Drive files) and forms.body scope (adds questions via the Google Forms API), returning a direct edit link. Apps Script: generates a .txt file the user pastes into the Google Forms built-in Apps Script editor and runs within their own Google account — no Drive permissions granted to Pirai AI. The CSV conversion parses the CSV structure, identifies question text and answer options from columns, and maps them to Google Forms question types. Auto-detects delimiters including commas, semicolons, and tabs. Handles CSV files with question banks, survey platform exports, REDCap data dictionaries, and custom-formatted questionnaire data. All 8 Google Forms question types supported including Multiple Choice Grid and Checkbox Grid. No Workspace add-on required for either method. Popular with database administrators, researchers managing question banks in spreadsheet tools, and teams migrating survey data between platforms.
