Export your Google Doc as Word (.docx), upload it to Pirai AI, then choose: one-click export to Google Forms via OAuth, or download an Apps Script. No Doc2Form add-on needed. No question limits.
Input formats
Google Docs can be exported as Word (.docx) in one click: File > Download > Microsoft Word. Upload the .docx file to Pirai AI and convert to Google Forms. Other formats also supported.
How it works
Step 1 is the same for both methods: export your Google Doc as Word and upload. Then choose how your form is delivered.
After uploading, sign in with Google. Pirai AI creates the form directly in your Drive and returns an edit link.
After uploading, download a .txt script. Paste it into the built-in Google Forms editor and run it. No Google sign-in with Pirai AI required.
Both methods produce the same Google Form with all questions, answer options, and matrix grids from your Google Doc.
Open your Google Doc. Click File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx). Go to platform.piraiai.com, upload the .docx file, and select Google Forms as the output.
Click Export to Google Forms. Sign in with Google if prompted.
Google shows a permission screen. Pirai AI requests drive.file scope (creates new forms only — no access to existing Drive files) and forms.body scope (adds questions to the form). You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.
Pirai AI creates the form in your Google Drive and returns a direct edit link. All questions from your Google Doc are in place.
Open your Google Doc. Click File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx). Go to platform.piraiai.com, upload the .docx file, select Google Forms and choose Download Apps Script.
Open a blank Google Form at forms.google.com. Click the three-dot menu in the top right. Select Apps Script. Delete the default placeholder code. Paste your Pirai AI script.
Click Save (floppy disk icon). Click Run. Google shows a one-time permissions prompt : click Review permissions > Allow. The script runs and builds all your questions automatically.

First export your Google Doc: click File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx). Then upload the .docx to platform.piraiai.com and select Google Forms. One-click: click Export to Google Forms, sign in with Google, grant scoped permission — your form is created directly in your Drive. Apps Script: download the .txt script, open a blank Google Form, paste into Apps Script editor, Save then Run.
One-click export uses Google OAuth — Pirai AI creates the form directly in your Drive using scoped drive.file and forms.body permissions, returning an edit link with no copy-paste step. Apps Script generates a .txt file you paste into the Google Forms editor and run yourself — no Drive permissions are granted to Pirai AI. Both start with the same step: export your Google Doc as Word and upload to Pirai AI.
Google Docs are stored in Google's proprietary cloud format and cannot be directly downloaded as a file to upload elsewhere. Exporting as Word (.docx) takes 2 seconds (File > Download > Microsoft Word) and creates a standard file that preserves all your text, formatting, tables, and structure. Pirai AI then processes this .docx file to extract your questions and answer options.
Doc2Form and Automagical Forms are Workspace Marketplace add-ons that require installation and grant ongoing access to your Google Drive. They often have question limits on free tiers and fail on matrix grid questions. Pirai AI generates an Apps Script instead: no installation, no Drive permissions, no question limits, supports matrix grids, and converts to 26 other platforms from the same upload.
No. Neither method requires a Doc2Form or Automagical Forms installation. The one-click method uses Google OAuth to create the form in your Drive directly. The Apps Script method uses Google's built-in Apps Script editor — accessible from the three-dot menu in any Google Form — and grants no permissions to Pirai AI.
Yes. When you export your Google Doc as Word (.docx), all tables are preserved in the export. Pirai AI recognizes Likert scale and matrix grid tables and converts them to Multiple Choice Grid or Checkbox Grid question types in Google Forms. This is a significant advantage over Workspace add-ons that typically cannot handle grid questions.
Yes. Pirai AI gives you 1-2 free credits every day that reset daily. Each Google Doc to Google Forms conversion uses one credit. Credit packs: 5 credits for $2.99, 15 credits for $6.99, 30 credits for $9.99. Credits never expire.
Export as Word. Upload to Pirai AI. One-click export or Apps Script — your choice. Done in minutes.
Convert Google Doc to Google Forms FreePirai AI converts Google Docs to Google Forms via two methods: one-click OAuth export and Apps Script download. To convert a Google Doc to Google Forms, first export your Google Doc as a Word (.docx) file using File > Download > Microsoft Word — this takes 2 seconds. Then upload the .docx to platform.piraiai.com and select Google Forms. One-click method: uses Google OAuth with drive.file scope (creates new forms only, no access to existing Drive files) and forms.body scope (adds questions via the Google Forms API), returning a direct edit link. Apps Script method: generates a .txt file the user pastes into the Google Forms built-in Apps Script editor and runs within their own Google account — no Drive permissions granted to Pirai AI. Unlike Doc2Form and Automagical Forms add-ons, Pirai AI requires no Marketplace installation. Pirai AI handles Google Docs with multiple choice questions, checkbox questions, short answer fields, paragraph text, dropdown lists, Likert scales, and matrix grid tables — all 8 Google Forms question types supported. Used by teachers and professors who draft surveys and quizzes in Google Docs and need to deploy them as Google Forms.
