🗂 Step-by-Step Import Instructions
Select your platform category, then choose your platform to see the full import steps.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .qsf file from the platform. This creates a complete ready-to-use survey in your Qualtrics account.
- 1Log in to your Qualtrics account and navigate to the Survey tab of an existing or new project.
- 2Click Tools in the top toolbar, then select Import Survey from the dropdown.
- 3Click Browse and select your
.qsffile downloaded from Pirai AI. - 4Click Import. Qualtrics will load the survey and all questions and structure will appear in the Survey editor.
- 5Review the imported questions, add any logic or display conditions, then publish when ready.
Importing a QSF through the Survey tab creates a new survey in your account. It will not overwrite an existing survey. QSF import is not available for Employee Experience project types (Engagement, Lifecycle, 360, etc.).
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .txt or .docx Advanced Format file from the platform.
- 1In Qualtrics, open the Survey tab and click Tools → Import Survey.
- 2Select your
.txtor.docxAdvanced Format file and click Import. - 3Qualtrics will parse the question structure and populate the survey editor. Review all imported questions for accuracy.
- 4Configure any display logic, skip logic, or embedded data fields as needed, then publish.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .docx Word document file from the platform.
- 1Log in to your QuestionPro account and go to the Surveys page.
- 2Click New Survey, enter a survey name, and click Create Survey.
- 3In the blank survey editor, expand the Add Question menu and select Add from MS Word.
- 4On the pop-up, select your Pirai AI
.docxfile and click Import. QuestionPro will parse the document and create questions automatically. - 5Review all imported questions, adjust question types if needed, and configure any logic or branching before publishing.
The Add from MS Word option is only available for blank surveys. Make sure you start from a new, empty survey before attempting the import.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .txt plain text file from the platform. Open it to copy the formatted question content.
- 1Open your Pirai AI
.txtfile, select all the content, and copy it. - 2In SurveyMonkey, click Create Survey and select Paste Your Content.
- 3On the Import Questions screen, paste your copied content. Use the Preview section on the right to check how questions are being recognised in real time.
- 4Once done, click Add Questions to create your survey. You can then give it a title, edit question types, and customise as needed.
SurveyMonkey's paste importer recognises Multiple Choice and Single Textbox question types. After import you can edit, switch question types, and add additional formatting directly in the survey editor.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .txt file from the platform. It contains the complete Apps Script code pre-populated with all your survey questions and answer options.
You will need a Google account to access Apps Script. The script creates a new Google Form automatically when executed. No manual question entry is required.
- 1Open your Pirai AI
.txtfile and select all the script content, then copy it. - 2Open an existing Google Form or create a blank one at forms.google.com.
- 3Click the three-dot menu (⁝) in the top-right corner of the form and select Apps Script.
- 4The Apps Script editor will open. Delete any existing default code in the editor, then paste your copied script.
- 5Click Save (disk icon), then click Run (play button) to execute the script.
- 6When prompted, grant the necessary permissions for the script to access Google Forms on your behalf.
- 7Return to your Google Form. All questions and answer options will have been created automatically.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .docx Word document file from the platform.
- 1Go to forms.office.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- 2Select Quick Import then Upload from this device.
- 3Select your Pirai AI
.docxfile from your device and choose Form or Quiz depending on your use case. - 4Microsoft Forms will convert the file. The new form is autosaved under Recent and My Forms with the same title as the original document.
- 5When conversion is complete, select Start Review to check the results. Three types of feedback may appear: Missing content, Uncertain conversion, and Unsupported question type.
- 6For each flagged item, select the highlighted issue, resolve it, and click Resolved. Once all issues are addressed your form is ready to share.
Microsoft Forms only supports Multiple Choice and Open Text question types on import. File size limit is 10MB. This feature is not available for US Government Cloud accounts.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the REDCap Data Dictionary .csv file from the platform.
- 1Log in to REDCap and click New Project from the top menu.
- 2On the Create a New REDCap Project screen, enter a Project Title and select the Purpose from the dropdown.
- 3Under Project Creation Option, ensure Empty project (blank slate) is selected.
- 4Click Create Project.
You must have permission to create projects in REDCap. If you do not have this access, contact your REDCap administrator. If you selected Research as the project purpose, complete all required fields before proceeding.
- 1On the Project Setup tab, under Design your data collection instruments, click the Data Dictionary button.
- 2On the Data Dictionary tab, under Upload your Data Dictionary file (CSV file format only), confirm the correct Format for min/max validation values for date and datetime fields is selected from the dropdown.
- 3Click Choose File, browse to your Pirai AI
.csvfile, and select it. Click Open. - 4Click Upload File. REDCap will validate the file and display a summary of the fields to be imported.
- 5Review the upload summary carefully. If no errors are shown, click Commit Changes to apply the Data Dictionary to your project.
- 6Once committed, you will see a Changes Made Successfully confirmation. From here you can go to the Online Designer to review instruments or continue in Project Setup.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .docx or .txt file from the platform.
- 1Log in to Zoho Survey and click Create Survey.
- 2From the creation options, select Import Survey.
- 3Choose Import Document and upload your Pirai AI
.docxor.txtfile. - 4Zoho Survey will parse the document, automatically detect question types, and build your survey.
- 5Review the imported survey in the builder, customise question types or formatting as needed, and launch when ready.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .txt plain text file from the platform. Open it to copy the formatted question content.
- 1Log in to SurveySparrow and create a new survey.
- 2Inside the survey builder, locate the Bulk Add Questions or automated formatting option.
- 3Open your Pirai AI
.txtfile, select all the content, and copy it. - 4Paste the content into the bulk question field. SurveySparrow will automatically structure the question types and answer choices.
- 5Review all generated questions for accuracy, make any adjustments, and publish your survey.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the .txt Alchemer-formatted file from the platform.
- 1Log in to Alchemer and click Create Survey on your dashboard.
- 2Give your survey a name and select Import from Word.
- 3Open your Pirai AI
.txtfile, select all the content, and copy it. - 4Paste the content into the Alchemer import field and click Start Building.
- 5Alchemer will create your survey. Review all questions and make any final adjustments before publishing.
Alchemer's importer uses specific syntax: radio buttons require () formatting and new pages use ::NewPage::. Pirai AI generates content in the correct Alchemer syntax automatically.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the bConvert .txt file from the platform.
- 1In the Forsta portal, click New Survey.
- 2In the New Survey window, click More Options and select Import File.
- 3Drag and drop your
.txtbConvert file into the box, or click Browse to locate the file on your device. - 4Scroll down, enter a project name, and click Create Survey.
- 5Once uploaded successfully you will be redirected to the Survey Editor where you can review and edit your survey.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Forsta Word .docx file from the platform.
You must have survey:build permissions to access the Word Importer. The Word Importer is only available when creating a new survey.
- 1In the Forsta portal, click New Survey.
- 2In the New Survey menu, click the Start with Word tile.
- 3Drag and drop your
.docxfile into the file field, or click Browse to upload it from your device. - 4Enter a name for your survey, then click Survey Options to configure language, Portal, and URL settings if needed.
- 5Click Create Survey to build your survey from the Word document.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Forsta XML .xml file from the platform.
- 1In the Forsta portal, click New Survey.
- 2In the New Survey window, click More Options and select Import File.
- 3Drag and drop your
.xmlfile into the box, or click Browse to locate the file on your device. - 4Scroll down, enter a project name, and click Create Survey. The upload may take a few minutes for larger files.
- 5Once complete you will be redirected to the Survey Editor. If any elements were flagged, a survey load error will appear. Click Fix XML to review and resolve.
- 6Use the system warning tags to guide you through any required updates, then publish when all warnings are cleared.
Forsta Plus XML import requires v18 or later files. Older versions will not be converted and will prompt a system error. XML files will include language translations where applicable.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Crowdtech .ctsurvey file from the platform.
- 1In the Crowdtech menu, go to Download Center then select Import Survey in the Survey environment where you want to import.
- 2Upload your
.ctsurveyfile by dragging it into the upload field, or click the plus icon to browse and select it from your device. - 3Select the parts you want to include in the import. The system will auto-select Question and Answer Texts. You can also choose from quotas, data enrichment (column names), confirmation messages, filters, variables, groups, emails, and translations.
- 4Enter a name for the new survey.
- 5Choose a layout for the survey.
- 6Click Import. Your new survey will be available under Manage and Home in the Crowdtech menu.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Culture Amp .xlsx file from the platform.
- 1Log in to Culture Amp and navigate to Survey then the Questions page.
- 2Click Import Questions and upload your
.xlsxfile from Pirai AI. - 3The system will validate your file automatically. If any errors are found, review the messages shown, correct the issues, and re-upload.
- 4Once validation passes, your questions will be imported into the survey ready for review and publishing.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the SurveyVista .csv file from the platform.
- 1Log in to SurveyVista and navigate to the Surveys tab.
- 2Click Import Survey in the top-right corner. The Survey Import interface will appear.
- 3Click Upload Files and select your Pirai AI
.csvfile, or drag and drop it directly into the designated drop zone. - 4Click Import Survey to complete the import. Your survey will be created and ready to review.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the UNICOM Intelligence .mdd file from the platform. Before opening, ensure the file is not marked as Read-Only in Windows Explorer.
Ensure the .mdd file is not marked as Read-Only in Windows Explorer before opening. If it is, right-click the file, select Properties, and uncheck Read-Only. UNICOM Intelligence will throw an error and refuse to open a read-only file.
Use this method to inspect or modify variables, structure, or language settings inside the Metadata Model.
- 1Open UNICOM Intelligence Professional (or IBM SPSS Data Collection Studio).
- 2Go to the top menu and select File → Open.
- 3Change the file type dropdown filter to Metadata Document (*.mdd).
- 4Browse to your Pirai AI
.mddfile, select it, and click Open.
Use this method to load the file for continued scripting or questionnaire routing in the Build environment.
- 1Launch UNICOM Intelligence Author or open your local Interviewer Server Administration console.
- 2Select Open Existing Project or navigate to the Build activity tab.
- 3Browse to your Pirai AI
.mddfile, select it, and open the project to begin scripting or routing.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the IntelliSurvey .txt (SPL) file from the platform. Open it in any text editor to copy the code.
If the compiler returns errors, check the highlighted line number in your SPL file for typos, missing colons, or improper indentation. Green output means your survey built successfully.
- 1Log in to your IntelliSurvey manager account and open the Project Dashboard for the survey you are building.
- 2Select your survey to open its main control panel.
- 1In the navigation menu, locate the Build or Authoring section.
- 2Click Edit Code or SPL Editor to switch from the visual IntelliBuilder interface to the raw text environment.
- 1Open your Pirai AI
.txtfile in any text editor (Notepad or TextEdit), press Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select all, and copy. - 2Click inside the IntelliSurvey SPL Editor window and paste your code.
- 3Click Save in the top corner of the editor panel.
- 1Click Compile or Update Survey to run the IntelliSurvey script parser.
- 2Review the log window at the bottom. A green result means your survey built successfully. A red result highlights the line number to fix.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the SmartSurvey .txt file from the platform. Open it to copy the formatted content.
SmartSurvey's AI preview may not be perfectly accurate. Always review the suggested survey format in the preview panel before clicking Create Survey. You can edit further on the design page after creation.
- 1Open your Pirai AI
.txtfile, select all the content, and copy it. - 2In SmartSurvey, click to create a new survey and select the Import using AI option.
- 3Paste your copied content into the import field. SmartSurvey's AI will analyse your text and suggest a survey structure, shown in the preview panel on the right.
- 4Review the preview carefully. If adjustments are needed, edit your content and re-import. When satisfied, click Create Survey.
- 5You will be taken to the survey design page where you can continue editing before distribution.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Kahoot! .xlsx file from the platform. It is pre-formatted to Kahoot!'s required column structure.
Before you import, please note: Single and multiple choice questions convert natively. Matrix questions are expanded — each statement becomes its own individual question. RankOrder and ConstantSum convert to single-answer questions. All questions are capped at 4 answer options (Kahoot!'s maximum). Open text, descriptive blocks, and page breaks are skipped and listed in the conversion report. Review your converted file before importing.
- 1Log in to Kahoot! and click Create in the top-right corner to enter the kahoot creator.
- 2Click the Add question button in the left panel, then select Import. At the bottom of the options, click Import spreadsheet.
- 3Upload your Pirai AI
.xlsxfile by dragging it into the import prompt, or click Select File to locate it on your device. Click Upload. - 4Kahoot! will validate the file. If any errors are found, you can go back to fix them or continue without the affected questions.
- 5Once imported, your questions will appear in the kahoot creator. Review them and publish when ready.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Moodle AIKEN .txt file from the platform. It is pre-formatted to the AIKEN plain text structure required by Moodle.
Before you import, please note: Single and multiple choice questions convert natively. Multiple answer questions convert to single-answer with a warning. RankOrder and ConstantSum convert to multiple choice, losing ranking and sum functionality. Matrix questions are expanded — each statement becomes its own individual question with scale points as answer options. Open text and descriptive blocks are skipped and listed in the conversion report.
- 1Go to your Moodle course and open Question Banks.
- 2Click the link to the shared question bank.
- 3Select Import from the dropdown menu.
- 4Choose AIKEN format.
- 5Select the Category to import into.
- 6Upload your Pirai AI
.txtfile and click Import. - 7Review the questions that appear, then click Continue. Your questions are now available in the question bank for use in a quiz.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Atomic Jolt .csv file from the platform. It is pre-formatted to the Atomic Assessments required structure.
Before you import, please note: Single and multiple choice questions convert natively. RankOrder and ConstantSum convert to single choice, losing ranking and sum constraint functionality. Matrix questions are expanded — each statement becomes its own individual question with scale points as answer options. All questions require a minimum of 2 options. Open text, descriptive blocks, and page breaks are skipped and listed in the conversion report.
- 1Navigate to Atomic Assessments and open the Content Manager tab.
- 2Click the three-dot menu and select Add Content.
- 3Click Select File and choose your Pirai AI
.csvfile. - 4Click Upload File to begin the import.
- 5Once the upload is complete, your new questions will appear under the Items tab.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the Respondus .docx file from the platform. It is pre-formatted to Respondus Standard Format.
Before you import, please note: Single and multiple choice questions convert natively. Multiple answer questions support more than one correct answer. RankOrder and ConstantSum convert to multiple choice, losing ranking and sum functionality. Matrix questions are expanded — each statement becomes its own individual question. Short answer questions export as Essay type (graded manually in the LMS). TE:Form fields convert to fill-in-the-blank. Descriptive blocks and page breaks are skipped.
- 1Make sure your Pirai AI
.docxfile is closed in Word before proceeding. Windows does not allow two programs to access the same file simultaneously. - 2Open Respondus 4.0 and select Import Questions from the Start tab.
- 3Under Type of file, select Microsoft Word 2007 [DOCX].
- 4Browse to your Pirai AI
.docxfile and select it. - 5Enter a name for the file being created in Respondus 4.0.
- 6Click Preview to check for errors, then click Finish. The file is now imported and ready to publish to your LMS.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the LearnWorlds .xlsx file from the platform. It is pre-formatted to the LearnWorlds question import structure.
Before you import, please note: Single answer questions convert to single choice (TMC) and multiple answer questions convert to multi-choice (TMCMA) natively. RankOrder and ConstantSum convert to TMC, losing ranking and sum functionality. Matrix questions are expanded — each statement becomes its own individual question. Short answer and essay questions convert to short text (TST). Maximum 10 answer options per question. Descriptive blocks and page breaks are skipped.
- 1Open your assessment in LearnWorlds and click Add Question then select Import Questions.
- 2Choose the From Question Bank option.
- 3Browse your Question Bank and select the questions you want to import. Click the top checkbox to select all questions at once.
- 4Click Import to add questions independently, or Import & Sync to keep questions linked to the Question Bank so future edits update automatically across all linked assessments.
- 5Click Save to finalise the process.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the PointerPro .csv file from the platform. Open it to copy the formatted question content.
Before you import, please note: Single and multiple choice questions convert natively to text choice format. RankOrder and ConstantSum convert to text choice, losing ranking and sum functionality. Matrix questions are expanded — each statement becomes its own individual question. All questions are imported as Text Choice type. If you need a different format such as continuous sum or any of PointerPro's 20+ question types, add those manually after import. Open text, descriptive blocks, and page breaks are skipped.

.csvfile, select all the content, and copy it. - 2In PointerPro, open the survey editor and scroll to the very bottom of the Questions panel. Click the Import questions button.
- 3Paste your copied content into the import box. Each answer should be on a new line, with a blank line between questions.
- 4Click Preview import to review how your questions will appear.
- 5Check that everything looks correct. Toggle correct answers if needed, then click Confirm import to complete the process.
Your Pirai AI file: Download the BrainCert .csv file from the platform. It is pre-formatted to BrainCert's required column structure.
Before you import, please note: Single answer questions convert to Type 1 (multiple choice) and multiple answer questions convert to Type 2 natively. RankOrder and ConstantSum convert to Type 1, losing ranking and sum functionality. Matrix questions are expanded — each statement becomes its own individual question. Open text, descriptive blocks, and page breaks are skipped and listed in the conversion report.
- 1In BrainCert, navigate to Assessments and click the options menu on your test. Select Questions.
- 2From the Questions view, click Import questions from CSV file in the top-right corner.
- 3Click Browse CSV file and select your Pirai AI
.csvfile. - 4BrainCert will parse and import the questions. Track the import status using the Success and Failed indicators shown during processing.
- 5Once imported, configure Test Delivery Settings including randomisation and number of questions as needed.
